"Hyacinth" Cake

What a wonderful way for a young woman to celebrate her 15th birthday.  Brought it to church to give to her for her special day.  6" and 4" tiered cakes with purple butter cream ombre petals.  I only did 3 shades this time.  I call it a Hyacinth cake because it reminded me of the Hyacinths that pop up in my backyard, kind of like the picture below.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse Cake

This is a Mickey and Minnie Mouse cake for a 2 year old. White cake, filled and frosted with butter cream frosting. The design is a frozen butter cream transfer technique. I enjoyed making this cake and was surprised that it turned out well (I was a bit nervous considering it was the first time I tried this technique).

Winter Cake

I made this cake for our ward Christmas party. White cake with strawberry filling. Butter cream frosting applied using two tone color method (very messy!). The snowflakes and dome on top are made with royal icing. Some were dusted with disco dust.
