Mickey and Minnie Mouse Cake

This is a Mickey and Minnie Mouse cake for a 2 year old. White cake, filled and frosted with butter cream frosting. The design is a frozen butter cream transfer technique. I enjoyed making this cake and was surprised that it turned out well (I was a bit nervous considering it was the first time I tried this technique).

Thursday we had our RS Birthday celebration. I volunteered (I don't know why I do, but I have fun in the end) to decorate a table and make a cake that went with the theme of my table. I went for a sea theme. Because the cake turned out so well, I think I will start offering to make cakes for others, to get some good practice. Here's the pics (they didn't turn out so well, especially the table photos, sorry).

Happy Birthday Relief Society!

Thursday we had our RS Birthday celebration. I volunteered (I don't know why I do, but I have fun in the end) to decorate a table and make a cake that went with the theme of my table. I went for a sea theme. Because the cake turned out so well, I think I will start offering to make cakes for others, to get some good practice. Boy's Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Cake

This was a birthday cake for a little boy. It was requested that it have Chuck E. Cheese on it. I made him and all other decorations out of marshmallow fondant. Butter cream frosting, white and funfetti cakes with strawberry filling. It was big. I had 4 days to make it all, maybe less.

Winter Cake

I made this cake for our ward Christmas party. White cake with strawberry filling. Butter cream frosting applied using two tone color method (very messy!). The snowflakes and dome on top are made with royal icing. Some were dusted with disco dust.

I love the fondant cakes I make now much better :) But butter cream frosting is so good too, sometimes!

A birthday cake for my niece's princess party

This cake was a cake-tastrophe, it was supposed to be a couple tiers tall, but it fell apart because of the checker effect, so one tier it was. It was the day of the party and because of the wreck, it didn't turn out the way I wanted :( We ended up being late too. Lesson learned.
